The forecast is not so good this morning. There is quite a lot of cloud above Ager and the forecast shows a possibility of strong winds so the chances of a task are lower - but not impossible.
The pilots are all going to take-off and we will assess the conditions from there.
More news will be here as the decisions are made....
It was an epic task - starting with the start line right above the camping and the HQ here in Ager. Most of the campsite were out watching as the pilots took the 5km exit cylinder for the start of the race.
The gaggles quickly disappeared and the audience were drawn to the live tracking on the big screen in the bar.
Finally we had 70 pilots in goal.
The downloads are now complete and the results are available from the results tab at the top of the page.
Winning today's task with a goal time of 3 hours 2 mins 31 secs is Yassen Savov (Bulgaria / Gin)
First woman today in goal in 3 hours 27 mins 28 secs is Seiko Fukuoka Naville (France / Les Passagers du Vent)
Registration is almost complete - we are just waiting for a small handful of pilots now. Among out competitiors this week are Open European Champion - Thomas Brandlehner and the current Women's World Champion - Petra Slivova.
For many of the pilots this is the last chance to qualify for the SuperFinal in February so there is everything to fly for.
World Cup pilot Joerg Ewald has developed a very useful Android application for pilots using the FastRetrieve system. This app takes your pilot number and the SMS number for the comp you are in and will use the phone's GPS to report your position in the correct format. You can also include a message ie 'GOAL' or other pilot numbers and the whole lot is sent together.
