27th August 2011 - Ager, Spain - Task 5 - Won by Stephan Morgenthaler (Switzerland)

It has been quite a taxing day for the pilots. Many reported that, even in places where lift should have been guaranteed - like the big ridge here - they were actually encountering sink and a good number got flushed to the floor.

The goal was here at the campsite in Ager and we eventually got 42 pilots in goal.

26th August 2011 - Ager, Spain - Day 6 - Cancelled due to wind

The wind was quite strong at 09:00 so we sent some people to take-off to check. At 09:00 it was 25km/h and by 10:00 had increased to 40km/h - the forecast says it will get stonger later.

The day has, therefore, been cancelled.

We are hopeful for tomorrow.

The early forecasts showed a strong chance of storms later in the day so the task started quite early and was set to finish before any problems were likely.

In the end we had 83 pilots in goal !

23rd August 2011 - Ager, Spain - Day 3 - Task 2 - 97.2km Race to Goal won by Charles Cazaux

It has been a fantastic task and, in the end, we had 73 pilots in Goal. The goal is a long drive from here so we have only just finished the downloads (23:25...)

There are two pilots missing at the moment because they are still en-route and will be so late getting back that we cannot, practically, wait for them - they will be downloaded tomorrow and the results will be updated. Neither one affects the main results.

So, winning our task today in a time of 2 hours 31 mins 6 seconds is Charles Cazaux (France / ORANGE - MORZINE)

First woman in goal in 2 hours 38 mins 38 seconds is Seiko Fukuoka Naville (France / Les Passagers du Vent)

And the winning team is Marc Wensauer, Urs Schoenauer and Torsten Siegel - Edelrid

This is just day 3 - more to come - see you tomorrow

The results, as usual, are all available from the results tab.
