A short elapsed time of around 37 Km was run today.
The task prooved once again to be tricky and Livetracking showed Chris Van Noord being the fastest pilot at goal today.
GPS download is on its way and the results should come along soon.

All the pilots up on Lonetree Hill. Task committee, lead by Andrew Smith, actively busy with a few options.
The weather forecast seem to be incorrect. Predicted 70% high cloud, currently clear blue skies with the inversion still below take-off.

World recordman Nevil Hulett won the first task of this 2012 Barberton Open.
The task was tricky and only 3 pilots managed to cover the 37.52 Km that separated them from goal.
The weather tomorrow look good. You can follow the race via livetracking !

Registration went as usual (not a PWC usual, but a non-PWC). Some pilots not registered before the event, some pilots not knowing their instruments and some other technical problems. We still struggle to get pilots to register before the event, yet they pitch up with a smile and say "Can I register?", for some reason this will stay with smaller events until it is over-subscribed.

The integration from the PWC web-site into CompCheck worked wonderful. Thank you Ulric and Julien for all the assistance.

Barbeton Paragliding Open is not a World Cup ! (At least not yet !!). It's one the first event which is managed via the Paragliding World Cup website interface.
Registration, Qualification, direct export to scoring software, export to CSV - XLS files, pilot card printing... thoses annoying task that probably every organiser might know are now easyer and just done from paraglidingworldcup.org !
