16th January 2011 - Roldanillo, Colombia - Day 1 - Task 1 - Won by Michael Sigel

Stopping a task always makes for a slightly lengthy retrieve so the afternoon has been spent collecting all the pilots from the Columbian countryside.

35 pilots made the goal though and the task was won in a time of 2 hours 40 mnutes exactly by Michael Sigel (Swiss / Spaelti AG - Mormaii Eyewear).

First woman today with a goal time of 3 hours 20 minutes 39 seconds was Keiko Hiraki (Japan / Sky Asagiri).

The live tracking has been giving us some technical problems today and some pilots' tracks stopped before the end of the task. We are working on this !

It's been a good first day and has given us a good start to the competition. The results are now available from the Results Tab at the top of the page.

It all starts again at 0730 tomorrow - see you there ....
