DEMONSTRATION TASK " 3 TURNPOINTS – 3 LAPS " ON SUNDAY AUGUST the  8th, 1999 IN MORZINE.

For the first time in a Paragliding World Cup event, the organisers have wished to present to the spectators a demonstration
of the principal competition rules. This task, the results of which do not count for the overall results, consists of a triangle formed
by the following three turnpoints (B),which the pilots will have to go around three times :

The world elite present in Morzine-Avoriaz-Les Gets will launch at twelve noon and amateur pilots at 1 P.M.
They will then head to Avoriaz, from there reach the plateau of Nyon by overflying the green slopes of the Pointe de Ressachaux,
and then they will come back to Mont-Chéry; they will do this three times before landing in Morzine.
The turnpoints will not be photographed; instead, an appeal will be made to each pilot’s fair play for the actual overflying.
A controller, positioned at an undisclosed location, could nevertheless attest to each pilot’s actual passage and eventually sanction
those who break the rules.

As the mountain bike - trial World Championships are held in Avoriaz during the preceding week, the organisation plans to have a
commentator explain to the spectators, both in Avoriaz and at the goal line, how the friendly competition evolves.
By VHF radio contact they will be able to ask certain pilots to comment on the flight conditions and explain their strategy.

The ranking is by order of arrival and the spectacle at the finish line, indicated on the ground by a white banner, constitutes the official opening
of this great week presented by Morzine-Avoriaz and Les Gets.

The organising committee invites you all to lift your eyes to the multicoloured sky.

The PWCA and the organisation are counting on the presence of all the competitors.
