During our last PWC Committee meeting, it has been decided to present to the General Assembly the following proposal :
Up to the 1997 season, with the system used to run the PWC we were saving year after year money and the comfortable reserve allowed us to reduce the subscription fee to 20 CHF or 80 FF.
With this reserve we could afford appointing the executive secretary with a full time job, giving so a better service to the pilots and to the organisers that is to our knowledge highly appreciated.
We increased the financial burden on the organisers shoulders by charging them 20% of the entry fee that increased of course the PWC income.
From the budgets for 1999 and 2000 it appears that if we want to run the PWC as it has been done this year we still need to increase the income. We cannot ask the organisers for more money and we could not convince yet our sponsors to increase their help in a sufficient way, so we have to revert to the former subscription fee which was 5O CHF or 200 FF.
The PWCA is a non profit making association but we also must know that a minimum reserve must be kept to face the PWC running costs from the General Assembly to the beginning of the following season when the income starts. This reserve has been recognised to be around 30.000 CHF to be reasonable.
