All XC and competition pilots are invited to Manilla for the first BIG XC competition of the new millenium !
Flying will be from Mt Borah (890mASL) which has 4 large launch areas for nearly every wind direction and 2WD

It is the site were the FAI world record for open distance (335kms) was flown in Nov. 98 as well as many years of successful
competitions.

Sanction will be CIVL cat. 2 (for international rankings). Over A$3000 in cash and prizes for Open, Intermediate and
Novice & Female classes plus day prizes. 120 pilots maximum so enter early ! All pilots entering MUST have a
GPS (Garmin or Aircotec) as full GPS flight verification will be used, ie: no photos ! No GPS = no entry !
Photos as a 'back up only' option are allowed but at the pilots own expense.

Entry fee $140 ($170 after 21st Feb) includes : Email info pack (posted if not on email), hill transport, map, prizes, trophies,
T-shirt, presentation night (dinner & band) and excellent Manilla XC weather. Pilots must organise their own retrieves.
Wind techs are welcome. Living in Manilla is cheap - for example accomodation in the pubs only costs A$50 per week - so pilots can
come early to practise and maybe break a few personal bests before the competition.
