INFORMATION ABOUT THE PWC COMPETITION IN LA CUMBRE – ARGENTINA

Feb. 9th : Beggining of the Contest
Feb.14th : End of the Contest and Party.

The best of worldwide paragliding in a competition going after the same goal : TO WIN.

Place : Cuchi Corral & Las Gemelas - Cordoba, Argentina.

The organisation is located 90 kilometres north of Cordoba city. To get to the competition place you have to drive along the national road number 38,
which is the one that goes by the Paragliding School.

To get from the airport of Cordoba to La Cumbre the options are :

From February the 1st a "PWC-TURISTOFFICE" will be installed at the airport of Cordoba where everybody
can ask for transport to go to "La Cumbre".

Taxis from the airport that can take not more than 3 passengers, for the price of about U$D 60.- the trip.
There are many taxis lined up outside the airport

Vans (minibus) they cost between U$D 10.- per person or U$D 50.- to U$D 80.- the van, trip Airport - La Cumbre.
The capacities of these vans are up to 10 people.

If you arrive before February the 1st , please call the organisation at the telephone number which is noted at the end of this page
by indicating : your name, arrival schedule, airplane company & flight N°, how many persons you will be and they will arrange
your picking up at the airport.

If the pilots are coming from Buenos Aires, there are many bus lines that bring you straight from Buenos Aires to La Cumbre for about U$D 40.-

ACCOMMODATION :

To rent houses, according to the real estate people, they need the exact days that the house needs to be rented,
becuase they are in high season, and they also need to know for how many people.

To camp, they have a very big park with nice big trees and a lot of shade where many campers like to put their tent.
The tariff is U$D 5.- per person per day and they can use the bathrooms, showers with hot and cold water,
kitchen to cook their meals, t.v. and ping-pong.

This camping place is located 2 kms. from the town and 8 kms from the launching site. They also have around 30 beds
which cost U$D 12.- the night per person. It includes sheets, towel and the use of the installation that is mentioned above.

in the center of La Cumbre so that everything can be more practical. An average has been done so that the tariffs are practically similar.
